This 4th of July we went camping with five couples, three kids and 2 dogs. It was the 5th year of our summer tradition camping at Lake Anna in Virginia. We stay on the campsite at Dukes Creek Marina and rent a pontoon boat.
Although, it’s not exactly ‘hard core’ camping, we do stay in tents so bringing the kids along was a big gamble. Besides a few mishaps and the fact they were covered in dirt the entire time, they all did a great job. This year we classed things up a bit with air mattresses and fancier food. There was even a table cloth on the picnic benches! The weekend ended with everyone saying they were looking forward to next year so unless they were lying that is a sure sign of successful trip.
