Labor Day weekend we decided to go back to the shore to celebrate Dee Dee and Bob’s 40th anniversary with Nonna. We got some bonus beach days and had a really good time Saturday night celebrating. As a surprise to them, we all dressed in 1971 fashion and pretended to be guests at their wedding. We played greatest hits from that year and did a fun fact quiz that Dee Dee won (although the jury is still out on if she cheated!). Nonna had the biggest surprise of all and came down in her actual Mother-of-the-bride dress from their wedding day. She’s one fabulous looking Great Grandma! Our cousin, Chris, came down to see the boys and celebrate with us as well.
We can’t go to the shore without hitting up our favorite amusement park on LBI, Fantasy Island, which is perfect for the boys. We get to eat fried foods (who doesn’t want a deep fried Oreo??), ride rides and enjoy dance hits from the official Fantasy Island DJ. Fair warning to Jordan’s blog reader - I’m sure we’ll have many many years of photos on that same merry-go-round.
