At our most recent visit to Jordan’s doctor, she told us we could start to try rice cereal. So this Saturday, at 4.5 months old, we tried it out. It looked like milk except just a tad thicker so we really couldn’t judge if we made it right. Jordan got to be a big boy propped up in his high chair (blanket shoved in to help him keep upright). We grabbed his ‘I Love Auntie’ bib (he does love both his Aunties!) and went for it. I don’t think he necessarily liked it or hated it because I highly doubt he actually swallowed anything. He mostly pushed it out with his tongue and out onto his bib, but he did start to understand opening his mouth for the spoon. We’ll try again this week and hopefully make more progress.
