Our winter was fairly low-key and we didn’t have too many things planned. We didn’t even have that many house projects going on so it was surprisingly quiet and uneventful which was nice for a white, but then we started to itch and all needed a vacation – someplace warm. Dee and Bob will never say no to the beach and were happy to join us. So mid-April we hopped on a flight to Miami (Dee Dee and Bob drove so we’d have a car) and stayed in an ocean-side condo in Hollywood Beach, FL just north of Miami.
The condo was perfect for us, right on the first floor with a view of the pool. So the hours of the day when Jordan was napping, we were not stuck in doors and could lay outside with the monitor and still see our room. The kitchen allowed us to have meals at home which is important because toddlers only have so much patience for restaurants every day. It was fun driving up and down A1A and seeing the sights. South Beach never disappoints and Ft. Lauderdale had some nice attractions. One day we even went to a place called Parrot Jungle Island and Jordan loved it. All-in-all it was a nice getaway and an easy trip.
