Our good friends from Boston, The Fitzgeralds, flew down to visit over New Years and we had a blast. I was worried that Jordan might not be nice to the the ladies (Neve is 5 and Nora is 2.) because he tends to be territorial at our house and is fairly rough, but somehow the dynamics of the 3 kids worked out perfectly.
We had lots of fun adventures and partied hardy. The kids were wound up the entire time and fairly impossible to control but everyone was having so much fun we didn’t mind. Even when they were running in circles and screaming around the lobby elephant in the Natural History Museum or after the holiday light show at National Harbor when they ran around the entire restaurant. No parents of the year awards were won that weekend, but we laughed a lot. I’ll admit that having 3 iPads really came in handy - I even wrote a blog post about it for our local Patch (see next post).
We know it was a lot to fly a family of four from Boston to DC so we are really thankful they came down – Jordan still talks about it!
