Jordan’s first Christmas flew by. We spent Christmas Eve at Grandma Dee Dee and Big Papi’s apartment in Alexandria enjoying traditional fish dishes with Uncle Mark and Auntie Kendra.
Christmas morning Jordan woke up in his own home with not a present under the tree. Sorry buddy, it doesn’t mean we don’t love you, we figured you’d have no idea this year so what was the point? That afternoon we boarded a flight out of Reagan airport to Boston (see last blog post) and spent a quiet Christmas at Yai Yai and Papous eating and enjoying a few visitors that stopped by to meet Jordan.
The day after Christmas the Kacamburas’ hosted their big party that was traditionally held on Christmas Eve. But we messed up those plans and Yai Yai had to change it to afterwards. It was a great night filled with presents, Yankee swaps, food, drink, laughter and the game of ‘pass the baby’. Jordan did great, napped a few times in the midst of it all, and shed very few tears.
We were also able to catch up with some old friends and see how their children are growing. Time certainly does fly by. (Tear)
